For community foundations who want more
MiniCause is a giving day platform and a year-round fundraising engine for your entire community. Modern technology, simple pricing, and (we cannot stress this enough) it works on all 365 days.1
1 366 in a leap year. We don't charge extra.
The uncomfortable truth
Most giving day platforms haven't meaningfully changed since 2014. They'll still happily charge you $50,000 a year for the privilege of running one event on them, though. That part has kept up with inflation nicely.
You pay year-round for a platform you use once. Your donors want to give in March. Your platform wakes up in November. There's a mismatch here, and it isn't subtle.
Your platform gives you leaderboards. Wonderful. Meanwhile, 200 of your nonprofits are staring at a blank campaign page wondering what to write. Guess who they call?
License fees. Processing fees. Platform fees. "Optional" donor tips that aren't really optional. By the time the money reaches your nonprofits, everyone's taken a bite.
of funds raised. That's it.
No license. No setup fee. No surprises.
years powering giving days.
We've been doing this a while.
days your platform works.
Revolutionary concept, we know.
What you actually get
Most platforms make you choose: giving day tool or fundraising platform. We thought that was a bit like choosing between your left leg and your right. Why not both?
The big day. The one everyone trains for. We make sure it goes brilliantly.
The dopamine-generating bits that make giving days addictive.
Because a little friendly competition never hurt anyone's fundraising totals.
Even the ones without a marketing department. Especially those.
Turn your most passionate supporters into an army of fundraisers.
The other 364 days. Where the real relationship-building happens.
Your nonprofits can raise money whenever donors are ready to give. Novel idea.
Environment month. Arts week. Back-to-school drive. You dream it, we run it.
One-time donors become monthly donors. Monthly donors become champions.
Show your community where the money goes and why it matters.
The biggest challenge in any giving day isn't the technology. It's getting hundreds of nonprofits ready to participate. Our AI tools help every organization create compelling campaign pages, write donor communications, and plan their outreach. The small animal shelter with two staff members gets the same quality campaign as the hospital with a twenty-person development office. That's the whole point.
Your community's generosity doesn't have an on/off switch. Why should your platform?
The humans behind this
MiniCause is built by Hubbub, a fundraising technology company that's spent over a decade building giving day platforms, crowdfunding tools, and digital fundraising infrastructure for universities, nonprofits, and foundations around the world. We're not figuring this out as we go. We figured it out years ago and now we're bringing it to US community foundations.
